Staff need to be able to develop professionally.
In its simplest form, the key to wellbeing is to reduce stress and increase professional resilience. We recognise that staff need to be able to develop professionally, in a role they are interested in and know that they are working with purpose. We know that staff want to be trusted, have self-efficacy and empowerment in the way they do their work. We will continue to prioritise wellbeing by embedding the cultural behaviours through the character and personality of the Trust. We will continue to promote wellness and to communicate what that means, for us, as well as what we do and offer, including the Life Works wellbeing resource and assistance and Newson Health menopause support.
We are committed to a biannual Edurio staff experience and wellbeing survey which collates results from 69,000 staff members nationally. We ask our staff to be open and honest in this confidential survey. This is hugely important part of our people strategy and how we tackle wellbeing. Our people are honest and trust that the information they provide genuinely helps to develop our culture and how we continue to work together using research-based evidence about wellbeing, job satisfaction and workload. We will shape identity and jointly tackle some of the issues that arise including workload, behaviour as well as trust perception and leadership dynamics. Edurio tell us our survey is one of the best, significantly performing above averages but we know that we cannot be complacent and there are always improvements to make.
