Our commitment is to ambition, excellence and achievement for all, and building community and belonging, preparing young people for a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-faith, and multi-talented world.
As a Church of England Trust, nurturing over 7,500 children and young people from Rising-3s to Sixth Form in our family of schools across Oldham and Rochdale, we’re here for everyone. We welcome all schools, both faith-designated or community who want to go on a journey together to build a great future for children and young people. We serve the whole community.
We also run our own initial teacher training provision, Manchester Nexus SCITT and we are the DfE accredited Teaching School Hub for Oldham and Tameside, East Manchester Teaching School Hub, providing training for ECF, NPQs and Appropriate Body services across the region.

We all model behaviours for our children and young people of high expectations, kindness, personal responsibility and generosity of spirit. We work collaboratively, we commit, we share, we invest and we learn to build a system that enables all children and young people, and those who serve them, to thrive.
All our young people will enjoy a rich, stimulating education that enables them to become everything they can be and are meant to be.
Family, belonging, inclusion and community are central to our identity and culture with cohesive, respectful, happy and safe schools. Our schools are communities that bring together children, young people and staff from different social, cultural and faith backgrounds to build a cohesive, integrated, respectful community for all.
As a workforce, we collaborate, we commit, we share, we invest and we learn to build a system that enables all children and young people, and those who serve them, to thrive.
We are a family built on a powerful foundation. Our journey began out of The Blue Coat School in Oldham in 2015, who traces its roots back to 1834, thanks to the vision of Thomas Henshaw. He believed in hard work and opportunity for all and this legacy of community and collaboration drives us today. Whilst our past inspires us, we’re even more excited about where we are headed.
Investing in growth, forging strong partnerships across our region, and building a Trust community which celebrates huge potential and shared commitment to a future that is positive and ambitious.
At Cranmer, it’s our collective power that sets us apart. Across our Trust, a diverse team of educators, leaders, and support staff unite, bringing a wealth of experience and shared principles to the table. We do this as schools, through our school improvement framework and Trust Leadership Communities (TLCs). We do this as a wider provider of teacher training and development across the region and beyond through our Teaching School Hub and our SCITT.
East Manchester Teaching School Hub provides high quality professional development to teachers and leaders at all stages of their careers across the region. We work with schools, school trusts, colleges and local authorities across the region and beyond to invest in the recruitment, development, and retention of teachers and leaders at all stages of their career. We have an unequivocal vision for excellence in the education of the children and young people that we serve.
East Manchester Teaching School Hub operates as the accredited Initial Teacher Training provider for Oldham & Tameside; Manchester Nexus SCITT.
