HR

The central HR team is qualified, established, experienced and accessible.

The HR model for the Cranmer Education Trust includes a centralised team providing an experienced, professional and comprehensive provision across the Trust. We also have dedicated HR Hubs, which are strategically designed to provide tailored support.  Through a framework of trust-wide policies and principles, we empower schools with ownership and accountability, enabling leaders to make decisions that best serve their staff and communities. Our model ensures that every school feels connected, supported, and equipped to thrive today and into the future.

Policies

The Trust has a comprehensive suite of HR policies based on legislation and best practice, approved by Trustees via a dedicated HR committee.

With effective and long-standing relations with unions, we consult on all HR policies with the recognised unions. Cranmer was the first Trust in Oldham to establish a JCNC in the local area, and the HR department continues to work effectively with representatives in North-East Manchester

Wellbeing

The HR team are ambassadors of the Trust’s wellbeing strategy, working with Headteachers regarding their individual schools. The most important factor for staff wellbeing is culture. The creation of a culture of wellbeing where staff are valued starts with the Trust. Culture comes from the character and personality of the organisation, through our mission, vision, and ethos
